Message from Editor in Chief
It is with immense pride and a deep sense of purpose that I present this special edition of our magazine, “From Taboo to Transformation: Menstrual Dignity, Equity, and Access for All.” This issue is not just a collection of articles — it is a call to collective awakening, a tapestry of stories, statistics, and solutions stitched together by a shared dream: a Pakistan where no woman or girl is held back by her period. For generations, menstruation in Pakistan has been cloaked in silence. What should be a normal biological process has become a source of shame, misinformation, and exclusion. This silence is not harmless — it has fueled school dropouts, workplace absenteeism, poor health outcomes, and systemic neglect. But we are now at a turning point.
