ISSUE 27 Period Positive Workplace Initiative Supporting Gender Equality by building Menstrual Equity

Message from Editor in Chief

While menstruation is a natural and universal experience for millions of people, the workplace environment often fails to adequately address the unique needs and challenges associated with it. Access to affordable and hygienic menstrual products is a basic necessity, yet many individuals in the workplace struggle to access these products. The menstrual equity gap is further compounded by intersecting factors such as gender identity, socioeconomic status, and cultural background. By delving deeper into these challenges, we can gain a better understanding of the systemic issues at play and identify opportunities for meaningful change. It's time to move beyond surface-level discussions and address the root causes of the menstrual equity gap in workplace environments.
